My name is Stephanie and I began this blog as something of an arty-bloggy-therapeutically-sarcastic thing. In early 2013, my husband and our family began a new life as a military family. My husband’s health rapidly deteriorated (he had 5 hip surgeries prior and was granted fit for duty in spite of that) and I suddenly went from Housewife to MilSpouse to Caregiver all in the course of eight months.
Needless to say, this has been a challenging time. I had allowed myself to become angry and bitter and ignore God’s blessing in my daily life… and now I’m ready to be happy again. Isn’t it funny how being mad at a situation doesn’t make it better? This took me a year to figure out. I will be the first to admit that I’m not the brightest crayon in the box but, as they say, better late than never.
Anyway, I hope this blog can be a fun place. I used to find a lot of joy in crafting and I hope to seek it again. I also want to give encouragement to other Caregivers out there and remind them that they aren’t alone, that the sun will shine again, and there is yet joy to be had.
So if you like coffee, crafting, sarcasm, thrifting- pull up a mug and let’s be friends.
P.S. Unless you drink your coffee black- then we most certainly cannot be friends.
P.P.S. I kid, I kid!
P.P.P.S. … Maybe.
